When I was 19 with a fever of 104, I proposed to my girlfriend in the car. She had been talking about getting away from her family and all that regular rebellion crap and I guess I thought this would be a solution. She said yes and I kept asking her. (Hopefully) needless to say, it didn't actually happen.
Years later she called me out of the blue and when I asked why she suddenly wanted to talk to me again, she said that I was a major part of her life and kept managing to bring up the fact that I was the only person who had ever asked her to get married. She didn't seem fazed (or maybe she just chose not to remember) that I was in a compromised state and she kind of cornered me into it.
She's married now. Not to me. Again, needless.
