my buddy, paul hudson is an engineer for NASA. you know him? hes a HUAR supporter. in less than thirty years time, we will have the equivilent of a human brain at our disposal. what happens 30 years after that? you cant see past the singularity, but you can look at evolution and behavorial science for answers as to how things will most likely work out. humans will not be able to keep up once AI and robots get rolling.

personally, i think there will be a way to merge or upload human minds into machines, thus negating the need for disposal of humanity. but thats a best case scenario, one that presupposes no errant memes (wouldnt that be what programming is called, post AI?) become established amongst the robots, leading them to the quite possible determination of extermination of humans. either way, people, at least in current form, not willing to tinker and improve our own genome, are doomed.
