You have this completely the wrong way around. Anything without an explicit license is fully protected by copyright law. Creative Commons licenses are ways to give up some of the powers all works get from copyright law to allow users to copy it around themselves under various restrictions depending on the license version.
However the rest I agree with -- nothing stops Curry mentioning your site just like nothing stops Google serving ads with their results. But it's probably better to have people coming over from there even if they're a bit confused by the site layout than to not be mentioned, I should think.
