Apple is not a true count of what is the "top 100" If I "subscribe to KATG all day, just click and click and click. I can over inflate the numbers. In the begininng it only counted subscribers, not unique subs, just the number of subs.
if they have changed it then cool beans, but if not, it is not a valid place to get you ranking in life.
