well, this must be a brand new event.
i know just a few years ago, US currency was good most places in the world, sure, local stuff is customary, but US greenbacks were taken most places in most countries. maybe its all changed since the back end of the bush administration and the euro getting more popular, but i know from people traveling abroad as few as three years ago that they got by just fine with it.
when i go to europe, i am only going to have american dollars, lets see if i starve. itll be a fun test. anyone wanna let me couch surf, just in case?
