Mudvayne were apparently Mathcore, the good Mudvayne back in the LD.50 days. I think they're.. um... shitcore now.

Mathcore (also known as technical metalcore, progressive metalcore, or noisecore) is a rhythmically complex and dissonant style of metalcore. Mathcore has its roots in bands like Converge,[1] Botch,[2][3] and the Dillinger Escape Plan.[4] The term mathcore is suggested by analogy with math rock. Weird, i've always described bands like Dillinger Escape Plan as "fucked up carnival music". Mr Bungle was big on that crazy clown music. I guess i'll have to correct myself now to refer to it as "Fucked Up Carnival Music-core".
