I'm betting total failure and restart in 7 years from point he "gets started". Anybody want to take the over or under?

Bubba, life doesn't start at some predetermined point like finishing a crappy degree, completing an outstanding apprenticeship, or honorably serving a tour in the services. If you don't like something, it's on you to fix it now, not wait for the starter gun. By the time you hear the gun, the bullet has entered your body and the game is over. Quit whining about it and get on with it.
