As for who "won" the argument, I think both had problems with their argument, but McNally's problem of emotional detachment and unwillingness to find out what he can do better can't really be fixed when Ayn's problem is that she's unable to articulate better as to what she wants, as Chemda mentioned. Ultimately, no real winner to this battle, except probably Keith and Chemda, who's sucked the life out of yet another relationship.
