Maybe I'm in the minority.
I dug SH2 and SH4, but had a hard time getting into SH3 because the protagonist didn't seem to have the inner-turmoil that was present in the other games (i.e. Did I kill my wife? Did I kill my brother? Am I a total fuckin' psycho?). Also, the story's focus on the "birth of a god" and the cult wasn't creepy enough for me.
