I was addressing a skeptical attitude towards the ability of younger people to have reasonable

Now you say it is tone. Those are two different things. I will readily admit I am douchey. That's not the same as being
wrong or arriving at flawed conclusions. You are not criticizing how wrong or right I am on something, or my stance on something, just how it
