My grandmother was born in Germany and moved to Holland to marry my grandfather. When the war started, the Nazi's tried to get everyone to "sign on the line" and become loyal nazi's themselves. My grandmother did NOT, she made that choice .. though whether it was a matter of descency or an act of being stubborn, who knows at this point??? Life became tough as a result, but she had a choice and made the right one.

I dont know that they were forced..but they were convinced. MOst of them anyway.. I would know, i wasnt alive..I just wanted to comment,because im German.
