Toronto is heavy on the concrete and not so much with the greenery. Living in Vancouver you get used to tree lined streets and having green grass etc. Toronto is definitely lacking in that department and compared to Vancouver it feels enormous. I feel like Toronto is like Vegas, it's cool to visit, but after 4 days I am done.
With that beign said, I am biased I guess because I love the West Coast and I love Vancouver.

There's a lot of cool places in Toronto to visit and shop at, but at the end of the day it comes down to the fact that the people there tend to be empty and soulless.
With BC, you have that "out west' attitude - which is just cool, laid-back and party-filled. With the maritimes, you have people who are just "salt of the earth" and the type of people who'd take you in out of the cold if you needed. Quebec - or Montreal where I am - tends to have more of a european sense to it ( without the inherent snootiness ). Ottawa - has Rhian - which is enough to make it a great place.
