If I might suggest, I'd say just start doing them right away. Maybe not 200 of them, but grab some paper and start whipping stuff off while you're inspired. It's such a quick, easy thing to do that I think it'd be good to strike while the iron is hot.
I just use normal paper with a papermate marker from the drugstore. Scan them into photoshop and use "auto contrast" to make them stand out a bit. And bam, all done.
