Really not sure, I'll have to find somebody with a first gen ipod touch to test this. I'm pretty sure there are other ipod touch testers, but I can't really tell from the UDIDs.
Just to clear things up a little, the controls are unresponsive because the app never actually finishes launching and the controls you see are just a screen cap of the app that gets displayed during loading.
Is it a stock ipod or jailbroken?
