O'Reilly Learning Python, it is the best of all programming languages when you are learning and then very useful to day to day stuff once you've got it down. It's like 30 bucks and available anywhere.

Alternatively you could jump on Byte of Python because it is free and it's already updated for Python3.0 so that's cool to.

Really just install python and fiddle with it because it rules and if you got questions hit me up, I evangelize for python any chance I get.
