What Gunner did is a stencil and we want a logo I think. But I can't design it myself so feel free to ignore my babbling ...
How about start fresh with the same design concept? I think cleaning the stencil will be much more work.
Find a crest outline similar to the one Gunner used, put it on a white background, use the KATG logo or the P!SP! logo or something else from the street team page, find the Berlin bear somewhere on the interwebs - get creative get colourful obviously there needs to be a major green emphasis but that doesn't mean we have to stay monochrome.
