I voted that it did change my opinion because I felt that I would be lying if I said that it doesn't affect me in the least. He was pretty funny in the clip that was played after the show, I wouldn't be opposed to seeing him on the basis of his religion. I would be a hypocrite if I did that. I don't appreciate rampant alcoholism, but I'll see Doug Stanhope any day of the week because I love that guy.

I went to high school across the street from a Mormon Temple, and all the bus kids (me and my friends) would usually end up walking across the street to school with all the Mormon kids. They were just as diverse as any other group of kids, with nice and mean and good and bad all represented. But I noticed when I tried to talk to them that they seemed to have no clear idea of what went on in their church. The crazy Christian kids would talk your damn ear off with the Jesus, but the Mormon kids had to be in church for 2 hrs or some crazy thing every morning before school and they had absolutely nothing to say about it.

It's a very large possibility that they just didn't want to tell me, because I obviously had no interest in joining them, and I was probably just going to tell them how dumb they were (I was roughly 30 times more opinionated and offensive in HS than I am now). I always thought that it was ironic that the church puts such an emphasis on recruiting, but no one seemed especially interested in spreading the word, not like the Christian kids-they are sick enthusiastic about Jesus.
