The line they drew is NO guns. Not "guns smaller than 5 inches long are permitted" or "guns that are not traditional looking guns are ok". They made an example of this kid within to school to say "Hey, kids, really, like NO guns."

I remember hearing on an earlier show about those guns that get custom painted to look like Hello Kitty and stuff. They don't look like guns that could shoot up a classroom, but they sure as fuck could. So if a kid brought a hot pink toy gun, I expect he should be suspended, just like this kid who brought a realistic yet tiny fake gun.
What if the kid does a "Shooter McGavin"? Acceptable? Too Far?
