Sounds like you can also be too close to your own comments and by this i just mean that you make comments to people as if theyre you and are heavily critical of themselves like you are.

An as far as the critisism = improvement approach i have found that this can become very mechanical and also limiting in itself. In essense it means your own view on your work is prejudiced so you look outside to others for unbiased feedback while this also means that you can become prejudiced about your methods of improvement if your not looking outwardly aswell.

Like some kind of unspookably long loop of adjustment
