I understand this, but one can get so much teasing without getting blueballs.
I get that they enjoy keeping my attention alive, but truncating a storyline at a highly emotional point and then letting me wait years to see how it ends is something that would piss off anyone in any othwer form of storytelling oriented entertainment.
I'm not the one who decided to make the series emotionally involving, they did. And cliffhangers work until you procrastinate too much the resolution. After that people loose (naturally) involvement AND interest. They're the beta testing master, they should know better.
