I don't think it's a matter of getting journalists to
care. Since they already don't care, they probably wouldn't go out and buy one, which means they wouldn't talk about the differences between the new and the old 360s.
But if they give the most prominent members of the gaming press new 360s for free, those journalists will talk about the differences, because it's relevant to their job.
Marketing just wants a mouth on their corporate dick; they don't care if you enjoy sucking.
