Who gives a shit what the rents think? I brought home a couple of girls before getting married and the parents didn't really like any of them besides my wife. I didn't care, back then it actually made the girls better because I was still rebelling against everything my parents stood for.
I would have a hard time as a parent meeting my son’s boyfriend or my daughter’s girlfriend, only because I really wouldn't know what could be said or not. I wouldn't know if the other side knew they were gay or the parents were ok with it. Gay relationships are a lot more complex even at an early age. Luckily at 10 and 6 I haven't had to deal too much with their sexuality. My son has a girlfriend and the only part I have to worry about that is making sure my racist grandfather doesn't say anything stupid about my sons mixed race girlfriend
