The Professional (or Leon : The Professional). A Luc Besson masterpiece in which Gary Oldman delivers one of his most chilling and sublime performances. Jean Reno is ice cool as the assassin who takes an orphaned young girl under his wing (Natalie Portman in one of her earliest roles). A brilliant film, long overdue for a high def treatment ... but it's here now.
