Regarding the teacher who shook the desk:
In 4th grade, I had a teacher, Mrs. Ellison-Waters, who was known for not only being able to handle the difficult children, but also for not taking any crap from kids. She would sometimes throw a stapler against the wall or pencils, but the most memorable moment in my mind was when this kid, Joe, would not stop talking, she told him to get out and go to the principal's office and he said no. She walked over to his desk, picked him up and slung him over her shoulder and carted him off to the principal's office. She was one of my favorite teachers.
