That seems like the ideal situation to me, and probably to most comedians. Not that hecklers can't be handled, or that we as comedians shouldn't be able to deal with something unforeseen, but most of us would rather not have heckling, if given the choice. And for people who do, they can encourage it.
My ideal comedy situation is performing for people who have some maximal combination of these attributes: they want to be there, they like comedy, they know how standup works, they know who i am, and they listen. And if I ask them to say things, then they say things. And if I ask them not to, they don't.
It seems like that's the understanding that Keith has with his audience.
