Can't under estimate the power of taking responsibility for yourself. I have seen the effects of coddled children, the 30 something manchild who's parents bail him out of every scrape. I wonder what you would have been like if you came from a more normal upbringing, Maybe nothing at all like you are today, maybe that upbringing was the making of you. We'll never know, I would like to think that there was some silver lining to your situation.

I think you should be proud of yourself when people who hear your story are amazed by your strength and tell you so. It's not pity that I feel when I read your story, it's awe...I mean that.
