When I had thyroid cancer I had to take radioactive iodine to kill off the remaining thyroid. Nothing spectacular happened except I had a pretty dry mouth and has to pee every two hours to try and get the iodine out. I was only sequestered for three days but I am in my 20s and the body reacts a lot differently when older. I heard that my pee would glow but I didn't notice.
