Hmmmm, I have some wonderful role models in my life, people who I can talk to but who cares about that right ;-)
Ok, in no particular order:
Rosanne Barr, as screwed up as she seems to be, she took her life by the balls and ran after her dreams. She was a mother of 3 who, one night, just decided to give comedy a shot...I find that inspirational.
Rachel Ray: She comes across as earnest which is a feat in her game.
Jennifer Hudson and Melissa McCarthy for sort of the same thing. Jennifer Hudson for becoming a responsible spokeswoman for Weight Watchers and making it look simple and Mellisa McCarthy not letting her weight inhibit her comedy and going for it. It might not be everyone's cup of tea but I give her credit for not shrinking behind her weight like so many others do.
David Suzuki, he has been advocating for the environment forever and ever. He's never swayed from his goal. He's articulate, educated, intelligent. Maybe a little overzealous but you have to respect his tenacity.
Lauren: I admire her frankness about her body image. I really appreciate how she roles with some of the off colour jokes Keith hands out. He creates a "moment" and you cringe then she, without missing a beat, casually either explains in further detail her point or laughs along with the joke. I also admire how committed she is to her feelings. She doesn't hold back, she doesn't let the banter get to her....she is factual, sensitive and open about her feelings. I wish I could be more like her.
