I was thinking that it would be reasonable if they rotated houses where they watch football. Or maybe she could plan on doing errands or girly stuff with her friends during those times. I would get irritated if it was every single weekend for several months.

I agree with Brolo for the guy to go to church to appease the family. Especially if it really is not going to be that often. As long as they are not forcing him to take communion or get baptized, I say be respectful. My husband is atheist, I am agnostic. My family is very much Catholic. I don't go to Christmas or Easter Mass but my husband and I will attend weddings and funerals. We bow our heads respectfully during the prayers and accept the "peace be with you's" with respect and a likewise. Gotta choose your battles, religion/church is not one to mess with unless you are prepared for the consequences to your relationship.
