Danny was like the layer of foie gras in a beef wellington. Yes, the big piece of meat in the middle may steal the show (I guess that'd be Micah); the sauce offsets the meat (Ben); and the delicious golden pasty around the outside holds it all together (myq); but without the subtle rich notes of the foie gras, the dish is not all it could be.
