so, my mother had her first bladder surgery when she was 2. she can't drink dark colored sodas; the caramel color and sugar sets off infection. i had my first UTI at age 8; the only time i've ever been catheterized, boo. asymptomatic UTI became a kidney infection when i was 17 and like to've killed me; i was spiking brain frying fevers and dipping into chills every couple of hours.

i have to weigh every single time i have sex against the potential of lots of pain and weeks of discomfort. buh-lieve me, my NYC travel bag is half preventative pussy meds. luckily, it's a common enough thing where doctors will just call you in a script and you can have it on hand for whenever times. i pop one after more rigorous sexings and it's not a deal.

UTI's are no fucking joke. they move /so fast/. ladies, do not let those go untreated; they WILL travel up your shit and get worse. PLUS, the antibiotics that treat it can give you a wicked nasty yeast infection. peeing after sex (before, too) is just standard lady bits practice.

men, if you have one, you can not know and pass it on to your lady friend. it's common enough that partners will just pass it back and forth and not really know that's what's happening.

sugary foods aren't sex toys. every time i see a porn where a girl gets a lollipop in her snooch, i cringe. flavored lubes are suspect as well. just consider vaginas diabetic.
