I know the The Star-Spangled Banner is, like,
the worst. But it's not like no one has ever sung that tune in a bar. The music was basically a drinking song before it became our National Anthem.
Hating on "tradition" is all well and good, but you could at least
search wikipedia.
Also, do you
really want a National Anthem that drunken assholes can sing basically at will?
