I understand the cop feature is a little strange, but Waze is one of the most useful apps I have ever used. It tells you what kind of accident is around you, how long the traffic lasts, where it stops, and a lot of other useful information.

However, people are inputting the data themselves, so it's not completely accurate in terms of how long something lasts, unless users are constantly updating it (which is possible if you're in a city with a very high number of active Waze users).

One compromise would be to only allow the user to see police that are on or along the highway / freeway and not in residential neighbourhoods.
