Boogie Nights is amazing! Probably my favourite movie.
I don't get Chemda's critique about the ending, though. Dirk being back in porn at the end of the movie is not a 'happy-ever-after' ending. Porn is all he has; everything else he tries to do fails. Other characters have legitimately happy endings (
), but Dirk is kind of a sad character.
It's definitely long, but I love how long it is (
). Most films should be more to the point and cut out extraneous scenes, but the subplots in Boogie Nights really add to the overall story. Love it.
