One key difference between Trump and Hitler is that Hitler was reasonably consistent and precise about what his aims were, Trump is not.

In Mein Kampf (1925) Hitler said he would invade neighbouring countries, that the enemies were the communists and Jews and even said something about gassing the Jews.

(I haven't read it for over 30 years but I remember being amazed at the time that the general public would elect him already knowing that he planned to be a monster)

Trump I feel has said a grab bag of statements that he thinks will get votes.

So I'm gonna call it - so far, Trump is not as bad as Hitler. Hell of a compliment I know.
“Look, having nuclear — my uncle was a great professor and scientist and engineer, Dr. John Trump at M.I.T.; good genes, very good genes, O.K., very smart, the Wharton School of Finance, very good, very smart — you know, if you’re a conservative Republican, if I were a liberal, if, like, O.K. …”
- Donald Trump, 45th President of the United States of America
