I think we should end the private prison system but that seems to mostly help with preventing them from bribing public officials to increase inmates. Meaning, they are responsible for tougher sentencing guidelines and creating new laws that criminalize citizens.
That's good but both public and private prisons treat people like cattle.

For example, what laws were broken with Chemda and the others who were in jail with her? Probably none but they got treated like shit and ate garbage.
We need some kind of detention bill of rights. Right now, it seems we are holding them to basic human rights. We should have a higher standard for people who go through the system.
