Keith I totally found the show to be fucking boring and slow and unimpactful for the first 3 episodes so if you were kinda paying attention while Catherine watched those I get where ya coming from. The stakes don't feel threatening for a while, and in all of the flashbacks the dialog is so stiff.
But by the last 10 minutes of ep3 and on there are real issues and character's motivations help you give a fuck.
Where as before it just felt like a generic, kinda chastising, "wouldn't it be scary if the world was like and everyone had to talk in a low whisper and wear dresses and hoods? Don't let it get this bad."
