That's fair. And I think it's fair to call it a blindspot, but unfair to call it fully an act, if that makes sense. I'm in a field oriented towards Social Justice, and I have blindspots. I also don't have real reason to believe he s predatory or abusive around his wife, and trying to control her. He could well be, I have no idea.
I also hate the "I was a piece of shit now I have a wife and I understand women are kindof people too" schtick that many people do.
