Bush had a half-assed apology, where instead of owning up to what he did - he tried to justify it and somehow make it come across as if it wasn’t as bad as it actually is.

If he had said “I’m sorry. It was fucked up for me to do that” it would have been a different story. Apologies should not come with justifications.

There is no redemption for this piece of shit, he didn’t learn anything from being punished. He is only “apologizing” because now his life is up-dumped.

Can we forgive someone? Possibly, did they truly learn and change?
Are they sorry for what they are to be sorry for?
