In Floridas defense most of the stories about weird shit people do there is because they have laws that make all arrest records, mug-shots and the like immediately publicly accessible.
So when somebody does bath-salts and then runs around naked and tries to wrestle an alligator in other states journalists have a much harder time making fun of them.
