I absolutely can't identify a person as Jewish or not. There is a synagogue down the street from my childhood home, so obviously there were Jewish people around. But I would never know who is who.
Now that I'm older I'm almost certain I had a Jewish stepdad for a few years. At the time I just assumed he was super lightskinned cause he had a curly fro. (I was 5)
I would see Chemda's face and think "she's from somewhere hot. Probably the middle east. But maybe northern India." and would probably assume Muslim as your religion cause thats more common down here.
