I can more than assume you, Keith and the crew are good people, I hear it everyday. The bit just seemed like going for low hanging fruit, to me, like making fun of a mentally challenged person, for saying something stupid. Notice I didn't say retard....
I recognized in Dustin's letter someone who is in crisis. I felt more empathy for all those people involved, instead of the indignation that someone could be so wrong headed. That is one fucked up situation those people are in. I guess that's an advantage I have from being around the mental health community
