Amanda is full of shit and so is anyone who has sent you letters like that.
People hear what they want to hear and are super pissed off when people don't give them exactly what they want, word for word. Not only have the BOTH of you, Keith and Chemda, been very direct and spoken up to guests who bring up any "But I'm afraid I can't make jokes or maybe an ex will call me a rapist," shtick, you've also gone over this literal situation where, Chemda, as to why you approach these situations the way you do. It's one thing that these are guests on your show so yelling over them and shutting them down would be very bad hosting, but just saying "Nope,, you're wrong. End of discussion." wouldn't do a thing to change their behavior or opinion anyway.
You got through a hell of a lot of trouble to not only be "right" or timely but to think about how to speak in impactful ways. Even when events are black and white (Trump, Harvey, etc.) how every reacts and treats each on a day to day basis exists in a gray area that we need to be more up front to get through in safer ways, and your reactions and discussions are great examples to follow.
