A Republican senator was just shot a few months ago and they didn’t care. They got another fat check from the NRA. I’ve posted before in details how easy it is for people to get guns. And it’s all legal.
The key to gun ownership is that safety really depends on he users mind and Skill. No device can take away that responsibility. The idea is to take the weapons away from those unfit. Weapons technologies have now outgrown the letter of the law written in the Constitution.
Multiple states have laws where an assault rifle is a long gun and can be used for hunting. This makes it perfectly legal for an 18 year old to legally purchase.
