Maybe you just kept seeing me at the crosswalks in LA?
I suppose there are some streets in LA that are so wide they make crossing them against the light extra dangerous/assholey, but unless you are in a heavy tourist area where everyone is happy to have a break at a corner to look up at all the wonder of America, there is nowhere in this country anyone waits for the light to cross. They barely bother with crosswalks. You would hope out here where everyone drives and knows pedestrians are the worst they'd be better at it when they become pedestrians, but it is not the case.
