I voted with Keith, but it’s not that simple for me. I’ve done both — I’ve done what Chemda referred to and “stepped down” the relationship — after living together almost killed my relationship, we got separate places instead of breaking up, and it was great.
We live together now, and we can’t afford the “two separate rooms and a third room in the middle” thing, but that would be my dream scenario. I love having my own little space.
(For reference, I’m 32 and we’ve been together for 12 years. We’ve lived together for the past 5 years.)
