Good cop/bad cop is not about peoples real intentions and behaviors. It's all about the initial perception of the third party and what the quick and shallow impressions look like.
On the surface level, Chemda comes off as the good cop. After 30 minutes of intense questioning, it becomes clear that Keith is more warm and thoughtful that first appearance would indicate and Chemda is a bulldog who won't let you sidestep the tough questions.
Perception is reality until experience proves otherwise.
