Been a long time since I said that. Very nostalgic.
There were only two periods in my life where I was into shoplifting. Once was out of necessity (being broke). The other was brought on by being falsely accused, of shoplifting!
I had similar impulse control issues as well, at least up until I discovered it was a symptom of ADHD. Now I limit it to digging up shit on people online, mainly if they pissed me off.
