I was young and dumb when I started going out with my husband, if I’d put any effort into thinking about it the age gap could have ruined our relationship. It was fate that we met.
I have a romantic dream that we we’re unrequited lovers in a past life (his family were catholic and my family were Calvinist back in Northern Ireland) unable to marry because of sectarian hatred and we promised to be together in eternity and despite all our differences in this life we still managed to find each other, overcome adversity and live the life we have together.
