I’m loving this episode so far. I have to say that I hate when doctors send people to the psychiatrist before trialing them on an anti-anxiety or anti-depressant first. Not everything needs to be treated by a psychiatrist, especially when they are more expensive. They are for the more complicated cases like when the depression/anxiety is not responding to the medication. And I agree with Kyle. Studies show that a combined therapy and medication regimen has better results than medication alone. And it can’t just be talk therapy. Cognitive behavioral therapy helps people address their negative thoughts, confront it, and reshape the narrative.
I can’t wait to hear more episodes!
